Sunday night: Bricktown

After the Memorial, we drove down to OKC’s Bricktown district and walked to Abuelo’s where we enjoyed an incredible dinner thanks to David Ubben! Thanks, Dave!

After dinner we made the hour trip to Sunnybrook Christian Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma where Associate Minister Paul Weece, a friend of Ken’s, is on staff. Sunnybrook is being gracious enough to host us for these next few days as we prepare for ministry.

From the beginning conversation of this Tour, we have wanted to be very intentional about doing ministry. Ken devoted the group from Matthew 10 when Jesus sent out the 12 disciples.

The Message reads, “As you have generously lived, live generously.” This time together will be setting our tone for ministry.

Dr. Gardner also encouraged us all to listen and pay attention to what God is doing. And to go to bed asking ourselves, “What would happen if God did something amazing in my life during our time together?”

There is no question that he will be doing something amazing. Will we be attentive enough to listen…will you pray for us in that regard?

Tomorrow we’ll spend a good hard day doing the OSU challenge course! Until then…

Nice to see Josh in his 'black' shirt. It must be the lights. I can see Todd's reflection in the fountain with the camera. What a cool seen!

I read everything on your blog while I was reheating a helping of leftover macaroni and cheese in the microwave. It so absorbed my attention that my cat Snu found an opportune moment to help herself to the rest of the casserole.

So that's how good your blog is. Snu is looking forward to the next time I check in.
